Overview In this role you will support the construction of Transmission Line and Station facilities, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and on-schedule delivery of capital projects. You will lead construction planning activities, manage schedules, and help optimize outages to balance customer needs with project priorities. The position emphasizes collaboration, technical knowledge in transmission construction, and clear communication of complex outage sequences. This is a hands-on, on-site opportunity to shape how a major utility executes critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop safe, efficient construction sequences for transmission facilities
- Manage Construction plans for multiple capital projects concurrently
- Organize and lead Construction Plan review meetings
- Read and interpret P6 schedules to ensure feasibility of construction plans
- Support outage optimization between capital, non-capital, and maintenance projects
- Participate in periodic reviews with Work Scheduling Teams
- Identify risks or issues that could delay milestones or in-service dates
- Communicate complex outage sequences to project stakeholders
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree options or equivalent experience (see job description) with significant construction/engineering experience
- Experience in Construction Management, Transmission Engineering, Operations, or related fields
- Strong computer skills and ability to generate business reports
- Ability to read one-line station diagrams and transmission line switching diagrams
- Knowledge of Bulk Electric System and minimum approach distances
- Experience with project scheduling and construction management of utility infrastructure
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to lead and organize multi-project construction planning
- Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint/Excel) preferred
- AT/reading tagging and clearance understanding preferred
