Overview As Real Estate Lead for the Americas you will steer Cisco's leased footprint across North and Latin America, managing a substantial annual budget and leading marquee real estate transactions. You'll collaborate with business leaders and WPR strategists to align portfolio decisions with growth plans, and you'll integrate AI and analytics to enhance lease administration and portfolio reporting. This role combines strategic leadership, complex negotiations, and cross-functional delivery to shape Cisco's corporate footprint. Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end lease negotiations, acquisitions, renewals, subleases, and dispositions; craft structures that maximize value and flexibility
- Shape regional portfolio strategy by analyzing utilization, growth, and expansion/ consolidation needs
- Develop data-driven financial models (cash flow, P&L, US GAAP lease accounting) for executive recommendations
- Integrate AI tools and analytics to streamline lease administration, governance, market benchmarking, and reporting
- Coordinate with premier brokerage firms, development advisors, and legal counsel to ensure best-in-class execution and compliance with land-use and environmental rules
- Collaborate with Design & Construction, Workplace Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, and Sustainability for seamless project delivery
Key requirements- 9+ years in corporate real estate, transaction management, or property investment with multi-market portfolio experience
- Proven track record leading large commercial leases (up to 300k sq. ft.) and market strategies across the Americas
- Experience across tech office and data center/mission-critical environments
- Strong real estate financial modeling, capital budgeting, and US GAAP/lease accounting proficiency
- Working knowledge of site due diligence, easements, environmental considerations (CEQA/SEPA), and local approvals
- Bachelor in Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred; industry designations (e.g., MCR, RICS) are advantageous
