Overview In this Senior Accountant role, you will manage journal entries, cost analysis, and reconciliations for designated cost centers within a healthcare setting. You will partner with Operations and Finance to deliver accurate reporting, budgets, and forecasts, while maintaining SAP-based asset management and SOX-compliant controls. You will support external audits and ensure compliance with FDA regulations and company policies. Responsibilities- Post monthly journal entries and analyze cost variances for assigned areas
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address variances
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts in BPC for cost centers
- Manage fixed assets using SAP Fixed Asset module and ensure compliance
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
- Educate operational departments on accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with operations to summarize financial impacts of activities
- Prepare expense analyses to identify trends and resolve unusual fluctuations
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a managerial capacity
- Proficiency in SAP or Tier I ERP applications, Excel, and Word
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley policies and compliance requirements
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
