Responsibilities- Develop and execute the commercial strategy to achieve revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability in construction materials distribution
- Partner with Pricing, Supply Chain, Operations and executive leadership to define priorities and growth opportunities
- Identify trends in construction, distribution and building materials to inform long-term strategy
- Lead sales, marketing, and business development across contractor, builder, developer, and distributor segments
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners
- Oversee regional and national sales strategies to optimize branch performance and profitability
- Establish and monitor KPIs for sales, margins, and customer growth
- Develop pricing strategies and margin management aligned with market conditions and inventory
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement to align product availability and pricing with goals
- Oversee marketing to strengthen brand, lead generation, and customer engagement
- Guide marketing initiatives highlighting value proposition, service excellence, and product expertise
- Leverage CRM data and analytics to enhance customer targeting and retention
- Champion a customer-centric culture and ensure high-quality service with operations and logistics
- Develop and manage annual sales and marketing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Partner with Finance to optimize pricing, inventory turns, and working capital
- Drive accountability for revenue growth, gross margin, and operating efficiency
- Provide leadership to specific customer and product categories
Key requirements- 15+ years of progressive sales leadership in large, multinational organizations with a track record of growth
- Bachelor in Business Administration
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred
- Strategic sales planning, market analysis, and financial acumen
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with multiple priorities
- Deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in the industry
- Experience developing and executing high-impact sales strategies aligning with objectives
- Strong leadership in recruiting, developing, and managing high-performance sales teams
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally to align sales with product, marketing, and operations
- National sales experience across multiple markets (preferred)
- Advanced data analytics proficiency and digital transformation experience (preferred)
- CRM and digital tools familiarity (preferred)
