Overview As Project Manager, you drive safety, quality, and profitability on-site, guiding bid and pre-construction efforts and serving as the client's primary contact. You lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and manage the project engineer/assistant PM, field superintendents, and admin staff. You keep the budget tight, schedule on track, and handle subcontracts, invoices, and change orders while mentoring team members. Responsibilities- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality programs are executed on-site
- Participate in bidding and pre-construction activities
- Act as the client's primary on-site contact and maintain trust with stakeholders
- Direct professional support personnel (Project Engineer/Asst PM, Field Superintendents, admin staff) on site
- Control budget and keep project on schedule to maintain profitability
- Execute subcontracts, purchase orders, and approve invoices and change requests
- Negotiate contract changes with the client
- Complete close-out requirements and secure final payment
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Asst PMs
- Implement new ideas and lead initiatives in Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Lean Construction, and Zero Punch Lists
Key requirements- A minimum of seven (5) years of relevant construction operations experience
- Experience managing data center, distribution center and/or light industrial manufacturing construction projects
- Bachelor degree, preferably in construction management, engineering or related field
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%
- Strong leadership, self-motivation, and commitment to excellence
- Effective communication to motivate teams and present proposals
- Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in constructing critical path schedules using scheduling software
