Overview In this leadership role at a well-established CPA firm, you drive complex tax engagements for individuals, entities, and trusts while guiding a growing tax practice. You will manage client relationships, mentor staff, and deliver strategic tax planning aligned with client goals. Responsibilities- Own client relationships and engagement deliverables (financial statements, tax returns, work papers)
- Perform technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality and on-time delivery
- Review complex tax returns (international, federal, multi-state) for C corps, S corps, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, foundations
- Research tax issues and provide guidance to clients
- Mentor, coach, supervise, and evaluate staff; foster a collaborative team environment
- Engage in business development and client relationship management
- Assist department Principals in strategic development of the department
Key requirements- 8+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Active CPA, EA, or equivalent certification
- 4+ years of management/supervisory experience
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Strong verbal and written communication across all levels
- Proficient using tax software and MS Office
- Knowledge of multi-state tax compliance (desired)
- Experience in year-end planning for individuals and corporations
- Ability to research and provide solutions for complex tax issues
