Overview In this role you provide hands-on legal guidance to Harley-Davidson's procurement teams and business units. You draft, negotiate, and analyze complex commercial agreements across direct and indirect procurement, software, services, and logistics, while managing risk and disputes. You partner with stakeholders on sourcing strategy and compliance, supporting the company's operational goals. This in-person role focuses on supply management and trade compliance within Milwaukee-area operations.

Responsibilities- Draft, negotiate, and revise a broad spectrum of commercial agreements (supply, services, software, marketing, logistics, facilities, etc.).
- Provide dedicated legal support for indirect procurement matters (professional services, technology, software, marketing, logistics, contingent labor).
- Partner with procurement and business stakeholders on sourcing strategy, RFPs, contract structure, pricing addenda, and risk allocation.
- Act as legal point of contact for urgent vendor issues and practical guidance.
- Manage commercial disputes and litigation related to suppliers and logistics providers, including pre-litigation strategy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws; update templates, T&Cs, playbooks, and training materials.
- Track legal, regulatory, and industry developments; propose risk mitigations and process improvements.
- Provide training to stakeholders and legal team; support contract lifecycle management and cross-functional collaboration.
Key requirements- Ten years of related legal experience in law firm and/or corporate setting.
- At least five years in a corporate department of a product manufacturer (preferably automotive or powersports).
- Experience drafting and negotiating direct and indirect procurement and other commercial agreements of varied complexity.
- Juris Doctorate and admission to State Bar (Wisconsin preferred or eligibility for in-house registration).
- Strong judgment, analytical skills, written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in-person in Milwaukee/Wauwatosa and travel up to 10%.
