Overview In this role you drive the commercial construction estimating and project delivery process, focusing on interior and retail tenant fit-outs. You work with cross-functional teams to prepare estimates, manage schedules, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors through bid to contract execution. You'll leverage Procore and Microsoft tools to keep projects moving and aligned with client goals. This is a fast-paced, field-facing role that values organization, clear communication, and rigorous scheduling.
Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects
- Review drawings and bid documents to identify requirements
- Develop and maintain construction schedules
- Develop and issue RFIs for drawings and bid documents
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors on scope, pricing, and terms
- Interact professionally with clients and subcontractors throughout the process
- Communicate with team members and clients to ensure alignment and progress
- Utilize Procore and Microsoft Project/Office to support estimating and project activities
- Travel as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- 10-15 years of experience in commercial construction
- 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
- Experience with interior tenant fit-outs required
- Retail tenant fit-out experience preferred
- Some ground-up construction experience
- Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project/Office
- Strong negotiation skills for subcontractor contracts
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
- Deadline-driven and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Willing and able to travel as required
- Hybrid work schedule; reside within 50 miles of office; travel as needed
