Overview In this role you will develop and execute category and sourcing strategies for off-the-shelf electronic components, aligning with product and patient needs. You will partner with cross-functional teams and lead a global category team to drive quality, service, and cost improvements. You'll engage suppliers early in R&D, analyze market trends, and support value-improvement initiatives. Responsibilities- Establish category strategies to secure competitive advantage
- Manage strategic supplier relationships in line with category expectations
- Negotiate and execute contracts to optimize outcomes
- Drive year-over-year value improvements in quality, service, and cost
- Define technology roadmaps aligned with long-term product and patient needs
- Collaborate with supplier engineering to build a pipeline of value-improvement projects
- Analyze market intelligence and mitigate sourcing risks with stakeholders
- Provide source selection recommendations for new products and support site materials teams
- Engage suppliers early in R&D to meet development timelines while controlling costs
- Visit supplier sites for business reviews, assessments and negotiations
- Lead and support business process improvement projects
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years in sourcing, supply chain, or supplier relationship management
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 20%
