Attorney - Plaintiff Personal Injury

Overview

In this role, you will represent plaintiffs in personal injury, elder abuse, and employment litigation, supporting a busy practice across Los Angeles, Chicago, and Las Vegas. You will manage a broad range of civil litigation tasks, from discovery to motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation, collaborating with senior attorneys and expert consultants. The position emphasizes independent caseload management, proactive communication with clients, and adherence to California law. This opportunity lets you shape case strategy in a growth-focused, established firm with cross-market exposure and ongoing professional development.

Compensation / Benefits
  • salary range $115,000-$185,000+

Responsibilities
  • Draft complaints, demand letters, and discovery documents for plaintiff-side matters
  • Manage all law and motion tasks, including drafting and arguing motions in state and federal court
  • Take and defend depositions of defendants, treating physicians, and experts
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for deposition and trial
  • Collaborate with medical, biomechanical, economic, life care planning, and accident reconstruction experts to develop case theory and damages
  • Review medical records and reports to identify injury mechanisms and causation issues
  • Develop and execute case strategy with the senior attorney and work independently
  • Attend hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and settlement conferences
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team
Key requirements
  • Active California State Bar license in good standing
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 2-3+ years of civil litigation experience, plaintiff-side preferred
  • Hands-on deposition experience
  • California law and motion experience
  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and respond to the lead attorney
