Overview

As Senior Manager, you lead the Benefits & Leave Administration function within the HRSC, guiding a team to deliver compliant, high-quality services that support employee wellbeing. You will partner with Total Rewards, HR leadership, Payroll, Legal, and vendors to optimize processes and elevate the employee experience. The role emphasizes governance, continuous improvement, and stakeholder collaboration to drive operational excellence at scale. This remote position enables you to shape benefits and leave programs that align with Bright Horizons' mission to support families and employees.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team with coaching and talent development
  • Monitor performance using metrics, dashboards, and operational reports to address trends and gaps
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on analytics and organizational priorities
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across benefits and leave programs (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, etc.)
  • Establish controls and QA processes to mitigate risk
  • Act as escalation point for complex employee, vendor, and regulatory matters
  • Oversee leave administration and core employee benefits (group insurance, medical, dental, etc.)
  • Set clear performance expectations for productivity, quality, compliance, and customer experience
  • Ensure ongoing job-specific training on regulatory changes, BH procedures, and system requirements
  • Collaborate to optimize service delivery models supporting the HRSC and cross-team alignment
  • Hold supervisors accountable to policy, procedures, and service commitments
Key requirements
  • 7 years experience in benefits and leave administration
  • 3 years leadership/management experience in HR or benefits
  • No visa sponsorship available for this role
