Overview In this role you drive MEP coordination for complex construction projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction. You will lead the project team, liaise with clients, and make expeditious decisions to model efficiency. The position emphasizes safety, QA/QC, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality results. A key hook is managing large-scale MEP scope with a focus on safety, constructability, and effective coordination across subcontractors and vendors.
Responsibilities- Lead safety program administration on the project
- Ensure crews have trades, materials, and equipment to meet schedule
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to support schedule and scope
- Perform and oversee QA/QC to meet project specs and quality standards
- Prepare and share daily activity reports and progress communications
- Conduct site walk-throughs to maintain safety and cleanliness
- Identify and resolve field and design issues
- Lead coordination meetings and manage labor concerns
- Represent site team in owners' meetings
- Develop and maintain the site logistics plan with the General Superintendent
- Create scopes of work for each subcontractor
- Perform constructability reviews
- Organize preconstruction meetings with subcontractors
- Track field progress and assist with recovery plans
- Contribute to project quality assurance and close-out
- Coordinate punch lists and close-out procedures
- Manage project permits
- Support development of strategic plans including VDC
- Demonstrate company core values and safety expectations
- Assist with safety program administration and trade partner compliance
- Perform other duties as needed by Management
Key requirements- Bachelor or higher preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or closely related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years in construction management
- Experience managing trades valued at $50MM
- Experience with large/complex safety plan implementation
- PMP certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project
- Proven track record organizing project teams to meet goals
- Negotiation and contract management skills
- Experience in cost reporting methods (cash flow, safety, cost, schedule, VDC)
- Extensive knowledge of construction facets
- Understanding of contract types and terms (GCC, burn rates, fee analysis)
- Understanding various insurance programs (SDI, BR, OCIP, CCIP)
