ABOUT US AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. THE POSITIONAGCEA has an excellent opportunity for a Forming Operator 1 on our Day Shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM). Persons in this role work in a manufacturing environment to mix raw materials to create slurry mixtures, assemble/disassemble plaster molds, and form SiC (Silicon Carbide) products to drawing specifications.Successful candidates will have the ability to properly operate vacuum mixers and utilize lab equipment to measure slurry conditions.The ability to safely utilize hoist, forklift and lift platform to set up and align gravity-fed molds is key to this role.The selected candidate will be a trusted teammate who exercises initiative and who fits well with our company's values. RESPONSIBILITIESFollows Manufacturing Functional Procedures to form SiC productsCollects, measures, and mixes raw materials according to specified formulas to create a slurry mixtureOperates vacuum mixers and associated systems using control panel buttons, switches, and gaugesMeasures slurry conditions using lab equipment such as a pH meter, viscosity meter, thermometer, graduated cylinder, scale, and infrared drying scaleAssembles and disassembles plaster molds using straps, braces, and torque wrenchesMonitors in-process product to perform specific tasks during the forming, drying, and part removal processes QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVEA High School diploma or GEDBasic computer skillsWillingness to learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasksAbility to interpret blueprintsAbility to follow detailed instructionsAbility to collaborate and communicate effectivelyProven ability to work individually and in a team-oriented environmentAbility to work/wear protective equipment (PPE) and proper apparel when on the manufacturing floorAGCEA is a proud Equal Opportunity EmployerCompensation details: 19.5-23.98 Hourly WagePI8386ef84f5fb-7767
