Multiple location are looking for locum Pulmonary Critical Care support. Candidates must have recent level I trauma experience to be considered for this position.
Details:
- Location 1:
- Level I Trauma
- In house coverage: 7a-7p Includes rounding
- In house coverage: 7p-7a
- Other pulmonology physicians will be onsite with locum.
- Location 2
- Level II Trauma
- In house coverage: 7a-7p includes rounding
- Offsite pager call: 7p-7a
- Other pulmonology physicians will be onsite with locum.
- Location 3
- Level III Trauma
- In house coverage: 7a-7p includes rounding
- Offsite pager call: 7p-7a
- No other Pulmonology physicians are onsite with locum.
- Each locum will only be assigned one location per 12 hour shift.
- Coverage is capped at 7 days consecutively and will rotate between locations to allow for lighter days between shifts.
- Coverage needed is 30 shifts per month in total for all locums.
- Setting: Inpatient, Level I, II, & III Trauma
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Clinical Areas: Inpatient Pulmonology is preferred, Critical Care Intensivist is required for ICU.
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Pulmonary Procedures: Ventilation Management, Invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy), Non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP), Bronchoscopy, Diagnostic, Diagnostic with Bronchial Alveolar lavage, Chest tube insertion, Central line insertion, arterial line insertion, Thoracentesis, Therapeutic with Foreign body extraction.
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Critical Care Practice Settings: Medical: Cardiac arrest/failure, respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, OD/poising, drowning, etc. patients. Surgical: Pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular/thoracic patients.
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Critical Care procedures: Insertion of PA catheter, Dialysis catheter placement, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, lumbar punture, and paracentesis are preferred.

Credentialing Information:
- Timeframe: 90-120 days
- Requirements: If IMLC candidate, providers must complete their CO license application at time of acceptance to avoid any credentialing delays.
Submission Requirements
- Board Certified Pulmonology & Critical Care - REQUIRED
- Active CO License or Active IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of name clear) - REQUIRED
- Active ACLS, BLS, DEA - HIGHLY PREFERRED - Required for credentialing
- Candidates must disclose their specific dates of availability Jan 2027-Apr 2027 to be considered at time of presentation REQUIRED
- Must state # of shifts per month provider can offer to the team - REQUIRED
- Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - REQUIRED
- Candidates must acknowledge they have recent (last 24 months) Level 1 Trauma experience - REQUIRED
- Local/drive-in candidates - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Must be able to perform all of the Required Procedures - please note at time of name clear - REQUIRED
