Human Resources (HR) Manager

In this role you will lead day-to-day HR for a growing operation in New Jersey, driving compliant people practices and strong employee support. You will balance hands-on execution with strategic guidance, partnering with site leadership and frontline teams. You will own recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance coaching, benefits, leaves, workers' compensation, wage and hour oversight, policy development, and engagement initiatives. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a chance to shape HR programs across the site and contribute to scalable people operations in a growing organization.

• Lead full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding)
• Oversee new employee documentation and compliance with eligibility verification and records
• Serve as primary resource for employee relations including attendance issues, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution
• Manage performance processes through coaching and documentation
• Administer benefits and leave programs, communicate time-off requests
• Coordinate workers' compensation and support return-to-work processes
• Monitor wage and hour practices and timekeeping
• Develop, revise, and implement HR policies, handbook content, and compliance training
• Build HR programs to strengthen recruitment, retention, leadership, and engagement across the site
