Overview In this leadership role, you will own end-to-end reinsurance administration for life and annuity products, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective governance. You will partner with Finance, Actuarial, Investments, and Technology to maintain data quality, drive process improvements, and support audits. You'll lead close activities, settlements, and reconciliations, while scaling controls and platform capabilities. Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end administration of reinsurance treaties, including setup and ongoing maintenance
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to reinsurance
- Review and validate settlement calculations (revenue sharing, fees, allocations)
- Oversee reconciliations between administrative systems, investment data, and general ledger
- Investigate data discrepancies across data sources
- Maintain and enhance SOX/MAR controls with documentation and evidence
- Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, Investments, and IT for data flow and reporting alignment
- Serve as primary contact for internal and external audits
- Support implementation and enhancement of reinsurance administration platforms
- Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency initiatives
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years in insurance and/or accounting, reinsurance administration, or financial reporting
- Knowledge of reinsurance structures and treaty mechanics
- Experience with financial close and reconciliation processes
- Understanding of reinsurance accounting implications
