Overview As Senior Vice President and Civil TEC Leader in Southern California, you will guide a multi-discipline civil engineering team to deliver high-quality transportation and infrastructure projects. You'll collaborate with regional leaders to drive growth, technical excellence, and client engagement across California, shaping delivery standards and program strategies. You'll lead project delivery, manage scoping and budgets, and ensure compliance with codes while advancing innovative, sustainable solutions. This role offers influence across operations, talent development, and business growth within a leading national engineering firm.

Responsibilities- Lead delivery of plans, designs, and reports for transportation and infrastructure projects in the California region, with emphasis on Southern California
- Oversee project management, technical solutions, and cross-discipline coordination
- Develop proposals, project scopes, timelines, and budgets; ensure compliance with city/state/federal codes and industry standards
- Promote quality, safety, sustainability, and ethical practices; drive process improvements and technical excellence
- Lead talent development, recruitment, and workforce planning for the Southern California Civil TEC
- Collaborate with regional and national leaders to drive business growth and client engagement across markets
- Support alternative delivery methods and cross-office collaboration for multi-project delivery
- Manage client relationships and provide strategic direction for client engagement teams (CET) and pursuit management
Key requirements- 15+ years of experience in engineering, transportation, infrastructure, or project delivery
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Bachelor in Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- Advanced proficiency in civil engineering principles, design/build, and permitting processes
- Strong knowledge of civil codes, regulations, and compliance practices
- Experience with CM/CG, Design-Build, and other delivery methods
- Proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills; ability to influence at all levels
- Proven track record in managing large-scale programs and client engagement
- Proficiency with design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and related technical tools
