Overview In this contract-to-hire role, you will analyze manufacturing and operational costs, maintain inventory records, and support financial reporting. You will partner with operations to drive cost efficiencies and profitability, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. You'll tackle variances, journal entries, and close activities in a fast-paced environment, shaping cost management and inventory valuation. Responsibilities- Analyze and maintain standard costs for products, materials, labor, and overhead
- Monitor inventory transactions and perform inventory reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly inventory and cost accounting journal entries
- Assist with month-end close activities, including variance analysis and financial reporting
- Investigate and explain material, labor, overhead, and production variances
- Support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs
- Review inventory reserves and assist with inventory valuation processes
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc cost analysis reports for management
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls
- Support internal and external audit requests
