Overview In this role, you will shape the enterprise data architecture strategy to enable trusted data and AI at scale. You will partner with engineering, security, and compliance to translate architectural plans into scalable patterns, data contracts, and governance. You'll prototype and validate approaches with hands-on pilots, then drive adoption across large teams. You'll explore AI/LLM solutions, RAG, and knowledge systems to empower data-driven decisions while ensuring privacy and security. Responsibilities- Define and evolve target-state data architecture vision across enterprise
- Build and run hands-on pilots to validate recommendations
- Design semantic layers, ontologies, and knowledge systems with prototypes
- Evaluate emerging AI research and architecture trends for solution design
- Author reference architectures, data contracts, and governance patterns
- Establish data governance, quality, privacy, security, and AI safety frameworks
- Drive architectural alignment across large engineering orgs through influence and proven points
- Collaborate with engineering, security, legal, compliance, and infrastructure to evaluate or adopt core data technologies
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and automation to accelerate pilot work and pattern adoption
Key requirements- 15+ years in data architecture, data engineering, analytics, or related fields
- 10+ years defining and validating enterprise-scale data architecture strategies
- 7+ years in senior/enterprise architecture or technical leadership
- 5+ years designing data models (dimensional, Data Vault, semantic layers, knowledge graphs, vector representations)
- 5+ years with modern cloud data platforms and distributed architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, lakehouse, streaming)
- 3+ years hands-on Generative AI / LLM solutions (RAG, grounding, vector search, agentic architectures)
- 3+ years Python and SQL with prototype/POC capability
- Experience with metadata, data governance, data catalog, lineage, and AI-ready platforms
- Proven ability to drive architectural transformation through leadership and proof points
