Overview As Director, Management Equity Finance and Tax, you will manage financial reporting and tax operations for the Management Equity Plan across SLC's entities. You'll ensure accurate reporting, tax compliance, and clear stakeholder communication, collaborating with internal and external partners. The role focuses on complex tax treatments of various entity types and efficient data sharing in a controlled environment. Responsibilities- Support financial commentary for MEP based on taxable income and distributions
- Reconcile accounting vs. taxable income differences and summarize for stakeholders
- Coordinate with external tax advisors for filings and information flow
- Ensure compliance with corporate and partnership filings and board reporting through Legal and outsourced providers
- Support tax settlement processes and coordinate with Treasury on cash timing and amounts
- Act as liaison between HR, Finance, Corporate Tax, Affiliate Tax, and external advisors to share data
- Develop and implement streamlined tax reporting and communication processes
Key requirements- CPA or equivalent designation strongly preferred
- 8+ years in finance or tax, ideally in asset management or financial services with strong tax focus
- Solid understanding of US tax system and international tax experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of tax-to-IFRS differences and various entity structures (partnerships, corporations, hybrids)
- Proven ability to manage external vendors and cross-functional teams
