Overview As Construction QA/QC Manager you ensure quality control across company-wide, division-wide, or project-wide scopes, aligning with specifications and regulatory standards. You'll lead the Corporate Quality Management Program, develop project-specific quality plans, and drive continuous improvement. You will mentor quality professionals, coordinate cross-functional quality initiatives, and maintain strong client and partner relationships. Responsibilities- Implement and maintain the Corporate Quality Management Program across the business and ensure compliance
- Develop and expand standard operating procedures to achieve high-quality project delivery
- Assist in creating project-specific Quality Management Plans and verify their implementation
- Develop quality metrics and collaborate with operations to address trends
- Manage a team of Quality Managers/Professionals for reporting, evaluations, and planning
- Conduct random site evaluations and follow-ups to ensure deficiencies are corrected
- Share best practices for quality across project teams and quality personnel
- Ensure compliance with Federal/State/local quality regulations (ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, FBC)
- Develop and update a comprehensive training curriculum for field operations, Quality staff, and Subcontractors
- Stay informed on quality trends through industry organizations and forums
- Represent Suffolk with Owners, Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors, Subcontractors
- Build strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and project teams
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Management or demonstrated equivalent
- 5+ years of related construction experience
- Solid understanding of means and methods of construction
- Proficiency with construction industry software
- Working knowledge of national and State code and quality regulations/standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
