About
The Quality Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and executing field quality activities to ensure all construction, MEP systems, and commissioning-related installations comply with project specifications, client requirements, company standards, and industry best practices. This role serves as the primary field quality leader for assigned scopes and areas, ensuring inspections, testing, documentation, and deficiency management activities are completed in accordance with project requirements.
The Quality Superintendent works closely with Construction, MEP, Commissioning, and Trade Partners to promote a zero-defect culture and ensure systems are installed correctly the first time. In mission-critical and hyperscale environments, the focus is on quality execution, risk mitigation, system readiness, and delivering operationally ready facilities at turnover.
Responsibilities
Verify installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, manufacturer requirements, and project standards.
Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality assessments across Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Controls, and Life Safety systems.
Promote safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and a build-it-right-the-first-time culture.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education, military service, technical training, and industry experience may be considered.
Experience in mission-critical, hyperscale data center, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or large commercial construction projects preferred.
Industry certifications such as CQM, CQM-C, OSHA, ASQ, or related certifications are preferred.
Skills
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, life safety, and building systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
