Head of Creative Operations & Production

Overview

In this role, you will lead the Creative Operations & Production team to streamline how the in-house studio turns creative requests into delivered assets. You'll unify intake, capacity planning, budgeting, and production workflows to enable fast, high-quality output at scale. You'll partner with brand, legal, and accessibility teams to ensure fast, compliant approvals. This position offers the chance to shape how a modern, AI-forward studio operates and delivers measurable impact across marketing outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Own the front-door intake and SLA for creative demand, ensure high-quality briefs
  • Lead triage and prioritization with stakeholders to maximize value
  • Forecast demand, manage capacity, and balance freelance/partner surge capacity
  • Own work management and asset management tooling, and drive AI-enabled workflow improvements
  • Oversee production standards across pre/post-production, manage crew/vendor rosters, and rights tracking
  • Manage studio budget, estimating, vendor negotiation, and cost-per-asset visibility
  • Embed brand, legal, accessibility reviews into workflows for fast, traceable approvals
  • Define and report studio metrics (throughput, on-time delivery, cycle time, utilization, rework)
  • Lead and develop a team of operations managers and producers, shaping studio design at scale
  • Influence senior stakeholders with evidence-based trade-offs and clear rationale
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years in marketing operations, program management, or related experience (or equivalent)
  • Experience owning and scaling a creative/production budget
  • Leadership experience with producers and operations managers
  • Hands-on ownership of a work management platform (e.g., Workfront, Asana, Wrike, Airtable)
  • Experience with digital asset management, taxonomy, and metadata design
  • Experience applying AI and automation to workflows
  • Knowledge of talent usage rights, releases, and clearances
