Overview As a Process Chemist, you will support manufacturing by advancing analytic methods and processes. You'll work on GC, GCMS, LC, and LCMS to enable timely, right first time decisions. You'll troubleshoot on the floor, design and interpret experiments, and drive continuous improvement in chromatography and lifecycle performance. You'll collaborate with QA, R&D, and operations to align strategies with product requirements and regulatory expectations. This role offers hands on problem solving, leadership in investigations, and opportunities to influence cross functional teams with data driven recommendations.
Compensation / Benefits Responsibilities- Execute and oversee complex lab work focused on GC, GCMS, LC, LCMS for manufacturing decisions
- Real time troubleshooting to meet schedules and ensure right first time outcomes
- Design and run statistically sound experiments; interpret data and provide risk based recommendations
- Lead process performance evaluations, robustness studies, and root cause analyses for deviations, CAPA, and lifecycle improvements
- Collaborate cross functionally with QC, QA, R&D, MSAT, and Global Operations to align analytical strategy with product needs
- Lead and support investigations related to manufacturing events and customer complaints; implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous chromatography capability improvements, including maintenance strategies and vendor engagement
- Author, review, and approve technical documentation ensuring traceability and compliance
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, promoting best practices in chromatography and lab execution
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, regulatory requirements and data integrity practices
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science or related discipline
- 8+ years hands on experience with GC and HPLC/UHPLC including troubleshooting and validation
- Broad knowledge of analytical techniques and detectors (MS, UV, FID, ECD) and ability to select appropriate methods
- Proven ability to lead investigations and translate data into actionable recommendations
- Strong technical writing skills for protocols, validation docs, and investigations
