The Front Desk Agent provides accurate, timely, and professional service to hotel guests while creating a welcoming and positive guest experience throughout their stay.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and complete check-in and check-out efficiently and professionally.
- Verify identification and process payment according to hotel policies.
- Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
- Communicate special requests to appropriate departments and follow through to ensure completion.
- Answer and route telephone calls professionally.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, events, and special packages.
- Post room charges, process payments, reconcile transactions, and complete cash-handling procedures.
- Communicate important guest and operational information to the next shift.
- Handle guest messages, mail, and wake-up call requests.
- Complete daily checklists and assigned front desk duties.
- Drive company vehicles as needed and when authorized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional front desk environment.
- Work collaboratively with all hotel departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Required licenses or certifications as applicable.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Strong communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and dependable work habits.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
