Job DescriptionJob Description

Bilingual Required, Preferred Language English, and Spanish
Greets patients, ascertains purpose of visit, and confirms or updates demographics and insurance in EMR system.
Checks in and out patients in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
Verifies eligibility for all walk-ins, obtains proof of eligibility, makes copies of picture ID, and of front/back of insurance card.
Obtain signatures for form and documents and scan all required documents into EMR system.
Directly responds to questions, provides guidance to patients and anticipates patient needs; accountable for their comfort.
Collects co-payments from patients.
Post payments from patients.
Courteously answers calls, forwards to appropriate team member and accurately documents messages.
Schedules, cancels and reschedules regular, missed and follow-up appointments; Schedules patient transportation as needed.
Calls and confirms appointments; unconfirmed for day of and for the following day; conducts follow-up calls as needed to check on patients.
Effectively manage special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Performs other duties as required.
