The Dermatology Center is Looking for an Experienced Patient Care Representative (Medical Office Receptionist) To Join Our Team!
POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Representative (PCR) is primarily responsible for being the front desk liaison between the office and our patients. This role is one of the most important positions our practice offers as patient care representatives (PCR's) are the first and final touchpoint of our patient experience. We are seeking a Patient Care Representative who enjoys interacting with people, has an eye for detail, thrives in a fast-paced work environment and delivers exceptional customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enter all patient data into an electronic medical record system within a timely fashion
Complete all patient appointment scheduling and phone call assignments
Accurately manage payment collection while opening and closing daily batches.
Must be able to multitask in a high-stress environment
Screen and route patient calls to other departments efficiently, ensuring accurate registration, appointment scheduling and follow-up appointments.
Assist other members of the PCR and departments as needed.
Administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, mailing and organization of office paperwork.
Other duties as assigned.

• Two or more years of experience as a Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Representative
• Dermatology experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills and patient-oriented personality is a must
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service, communication skills and general etiquette
• Ability to understand the patient's needs and concerns
• Must be timely, organized, and reliable
• Other duties as assigned

The Dermatology Center is celebrating 25 years of independent practice in the Fredericksburg region. Our practice strives for patient satisfaction and effective teamwork to provide incredible patient experiences.
Immediate Opening, Monday through Thursday 8:15 to 5:00 and Friday 7:00-3:00. Flexibility Required. Full-time.

Experience:

• Medical Receptionists & Patient Registrars: 2 years (Preferred)
• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
