Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Associate with a strong medical/healthcare background to join our team at Thrive Integrative Health, a busy integrative healthcare practice offering chiropractic, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and other wellness services.
This is a medical office position, and 2-3+ years of previous healthcare or medical front desk experience is required. Candidates with experience in chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, rehabilitation, or other outpatient healthcare settings are strongly preferred.

The Front Desk Associate will play an important role in both patient care and daily office operations. This position requires someone who is comfortable working with patients, providers, insurance companies, and patient accounts while maintaining a warm, professional, and organized patient experience.
In addition to providing excellent patient service, the Front Desk Associate will be responsible for training and supporting front desk team members, managing patient scheduling, verifying and discussing insurance benefits, handling patient accounts and collections, assisting with billing questions, and ensuring the front desk operates efficiently throughout the day.

The ideal candidate is confident, organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in a healthcare environment. You should be comfortable discussing financial responsibilities with patients, navigating insurance-related questions, managing a busy appointment schedule, and communicating professionally with both patients and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and provide guidance to the front desk team
  • Train and onboard new Front Desk Associates on office procedures and patient workflows
  • Serve as a point of contact for front desk questions and day-to-day issues
  • Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for every patient
  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments
  • Coordinate provider schedules and help maintain an efficient patient flow
  • Assist patients with understanding their coverage and financial responsibilities
  • Answer patient questions regarding insurance, copays, deductibles, balances, and payment options
  • Manage patient accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and patient balances
  • Assist with billing and insurance-related issues and communicate with insurance companies when needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient demographics, insurance information, and account records
  • Ensure required patient paperwork and intake forms are completed
  • Work within the practice's EHR and scheduling systems to document and manage patient information
  • Communicate effectively with chiropractors, acupuncturists, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the clinical team
  • Assist with daily medical office operations and administrative tasks
  • Help maintain office policies, procedures, and patient workflows
  • Identify opportunities to improve the patient experience and front desk efficiency
  • Lead by example and contribute to a positive, collaborative healthcare team
Qualifications & Experience

Required:
  • 2-3+ years of previous medical/healthcare front desk or medical administrative experience
  • Experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with medical scheduling, patient accounts, insurance, billing, and collections
  • Strong understanding of professional communication and patient confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to confidently communicate financial and insurance information to patients
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude
Strongly Preferred:
  • Experience in chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, rehabilitation, sports medicine, or another outpatient healthcare setting
  • Experience working with an EHR/practice management system
  • Previous experience in a lead, supervisor, or senior medical front desk role
  • Experience training or mentoring other front desk staff
