Emergency Department Admitting/Receptionist: Part Time

Cascade Medical, located in beautiful downtown Leavenworth in the Cascade foothills of Central Washington, has an opening for a part time Emergency Department Admitting Clerk/Front Desk Receptionists.

Work Schedule: The anticipated schedule for this position will be Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

Duties:

• Serve as Receptionist for our facility. Answer and route calls for all hospital departments.
• Register patients accurately. Maintain all admitting information at 95% accuracy.
• Perform data entry for patient account set up. Process billing paperwork for outpatient departments, including the Emergency Department.
• Process both incoming and outgoing mail.
• Process daily deposits. Receive payments and maintain cash drawer.
• Process primary and secondary bills.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information to ensure patient and employee rights are protected in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Previous admitting/receptionist experience in a similar setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior customer experience and interacting with the public is required.
• Must be able to accurately balance daily deposits - math aptitude required.
• Must be able to organize, multi-task, and prioritize daily work tasks.
• Must possess proficient computer skills.
• Must possess interpersonal skills that align with CM's Shared Values.

As a public entity, our wage range is set on a 30-step scale (Base-30 years of experience). Offer letters and wage determination will be written based on years of experience.
