Overview In this on-site Project Manager II role, you drive the direction, execution, and financial outcomes of a medium-sized construction project. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery on behalf of Gilbane and the client. You'll lead with inclusion, coach a team, and manage risks, contracts, and change control to maximize project value. This opportunity combines hands-on site leadership with strategic decision-making to support Gilbane's mission of safe, on-time delivery.

Responsibilities- Contributes to the project safety plan and site leadership
- Develops project controls, risk mitigation, and manages contract requirements
- Oversees change management and project financial forecasting to meet contract terms
- Creates and manages project-specific quality and closeout plans
- Provides leadership to motivate the project team and supervise project staff
- Trains direct reports on processes and daily tasks
- Participates in subcontracting strategy and buyout integrity
- Enforces contracts and supports risk mitigation; drafts contracts and POs
- Monitors trade contractor compliance and insurance/bond enrollment
- Supports estimates for select bid packages and GMP preparation
- Performs constructability and coordination reviews
- Creates CPM schedule and updates monthly
- Assesses local market profiles to build networking strategy
- Collaborates with business development to align with sales strategies and client deliverables
- Manages workload/performance of direct reports in line with company standards
- Fosters an inclusive work environment to engage team members
- Communicates department strategy to direct reports
Key requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 5-10 years of experience
- Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of industry standard software, Microsoft Office (preferred)
