Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Overview

In this FP&A role, you partner with specialty departments to drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting. You will deliver actionable insights, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance financial accountability across functions. Based in Grand Rapids, MI or Chicago, IL, you leverage modeling, dashboards, and reporting tools to inform decisions. You'll work with senior leaders to influence hiring, cost management, and long-range planning, shaping financial outcomes for the specialty units. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role in a fast-paced fintech environment with a clear impact on performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range planning for assigned specialty departments
  • Perform variance analysis (actual-to-budget, actual-to-forecast, YoY) with executive commentary
  • Partner with department leaders on headcount planning, hiring decisions, and expense management
  • Identify and report on cost reduction initiatives and savings realization
  • Develop financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision-making
  • Support process improvements through automation and advanced planning analytics
