Overview

In this 1.0 FTE role, you lead Legacy's OB/GYN and Family Birth services, shaping clinical strategy and quality across hospital and clinics. You will supervise the OB/GYN group, collaborate with midwifery leadership, and drive access, safety, and performance improvement for the Silverton and Mid-Willamette Valley region. The position blends clinical practice with Medical Director duties to advance women's health and maternity care. This is a mission-driven opportunity with strong Epic/EHR support and a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities
  • Direct oversight of Legacy Medical Group OB/GYN physicians and support staff
  • Partner with Midwifery Director and clinic operations on quality, patient safety, access, and performance improvement
  • Develop and implement evidence-based protocols, guidelines, and clinical pathways
  • Plan staffing, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and call coverage for the OB/GYN group
  • Lead QAPI development for the Family Birth Center in coordination with CMS requirements
  • Foster a collaborative, team-centered environment with professional accountability and continuous improvement
  • Engage in leadership councils and committees related to OB/GYN and family birth
Key requirements
  • Graduate of a medical school with OB/GYN residency completed
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Unrestricted Oregon medical license
  • Minimum three years OB/GYN clinical experience required for medical director component
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism, collaboration, and mission-aligned leadership
