Overview In this role you will lead control systems projects at a manufacturing site, ensuring reliable operation of instrumentation and automation assets. You will manage budgets, scope, schedules, and vendor engagement while mentoring junior specialists. You'll deliver technically sound project outcomes aligned with client specifications and HSSE standards. You will interact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to drive repeat business and practical, safe automation solutions. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused engineering role at a multinational automation services provider, offering impact across large projects and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities- Lead full project delivery and, when needed, manage a group's day-to-day workflow
- Manage budgets, scope, schedule, and change management for projects
- Mentor junior automation specialists and contribute to performance evaluations
- Provide input to business development meetings and proposals
- Review vendor drawings for compliance with project specs
- Ensure HSSE compliance and regulatory adherence across sites
- Develop man-hour and Total Installed Cost estimates from project scope
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants
- Forecast and manage discipline-specific staffing and timelines
- Provide technical guidance on work techniques and best practices
Key requirements- 5+ years in automation-related roles
- 3-5 years with DCS systems (Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, etc.)
- Experience on project support for industrial facilities
- Experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, GE, Siemens, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree (engineering, computer science, etc.) preferred
- Large project/team lead experience preferred
