Construction Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee a large-scale fitout and renovation in a food processing facility, guiding the project from inception to completion. You will work within a structured construction environment to uphold quality, safety, and BCAR compliance. You will coordinate across civil, structural, architectural, and M&E disciplines and maintain clear communication with clients and teams. You'll drive project programming, reporting, and documentation to keep progress on track. This is an opportunity to shape delivery on a technically complex site while advancing your construction management career.

Responsibilities
  • Manage project programming, scheduling, and day-to-day on-site operations to meet time and spec targets
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams across civil, structural, architectural, and M&E works
  • Monitor progress and issue weekly RFIs, procurement schedules, technical submittals, and updates
  • Ensure works comply with contract specs, building regulations, and BCAR standards
  • Lead project meetings and maintain cross-team communication
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal management throughout the lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting minutes, and site records
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, teamwork, and customer service on site
Key requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial construction, fitout, or refurbishment
  • Strong understanding of M&E installations and coordination
  • Construction-related qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • BCAR experience or knowledge would be advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and general IT/reporting systems
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage projects under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full clean driving licence
