Overview As a Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as a primary scientific resource for obesity-related neuroscience and health professionals, advancing Amgen's obesity strategy through credible, data-driven exchanges. You will engage with OLs, PHDMs, and other providers to improve patient outcomes, support research and congress activities, and help translate clinical data into practice. You'll collaborate across Amgen to ensure a coordinated One Amgen experience and contribute to the obesity pipeline's growth.

Responsibilities- Foster peer-to-peer scientific discussions with obesity-focused leaders and providers to advance Amgen's scientific platform
- Engage with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline
- Communicate clinical and economic data to PHDMs and institutions to improve patient outcomes
- Connect external and internal stakeholders to extend Amgen's reach and patient access
- Conduct in-depth scientific exchanges aligned with compliance standards
- Support Amgen-sponsored research and may lead studies
- Coordinate with investigators for non-sponsored research
- Provide field observations to inform Amgen strategies
- Lead or participate in congress activities and speaker training
- Participate in MSL project teams and collaborate across field roles
- Execute administrative tasks (CRM, expenses, compliance) timely
- Maintain clinical/scientific acumen with current data and trends
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and communicate data effectively
Key requirements- Doctorate, or Master's with 3+ years in Medical Affairs, or Bachelor's with 5+ years in Medical Affairs
- Preferred: Pharm.D./Ph.D./M.D./D.O.
- 1+ years of Medical Affairs experience (preferred)
- 4+ years in a medically related field including clinical practice or research
- Current experience in Scientific/M Medical Affairs in biotech or pharmaceutical
- Cardiometabolic and/or obesity expertise
