Overview As a Resident Project Representative, you will provide full-time on-site construction observation for water and wastewater projects to protect client interests and assure conformance with plans and specifications. You will work closely with project teams to monitor quality, scope, and compliance under applicable codes. Your role focuses on accurate documentation, payoff item tracking, and identifying defective work to keep projects on schedule. This position offers hands-on field experience within a collaborative engineering environment and exposure to critical infrastructure projects. You will contribute to delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities- Review construction plans and specifications to verify alignment with project requirements
- Provide full-time on-site observation to ensure work is constructed in conformance with plans and specifications
- Document completed work accurately, including tracking pay item quantities
- Identify and report defective work and non-conformances
- Communicate effectively with builders, contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Maintain project documentation and meet deadlines in a demanding environment
Key requirements- Associate degree in Engineering or higher or Certification/Licensing in related field
- Four or more years of direct observation, design, or construction experience
- Knowledge of federal, state, county, and local codes
- Ability to read, understand, and apply code requirements to construction
- Strong documentation, reporting, and pay item tracking abilities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and build effective relationships
- Excellent written and oral English communication and organizational skills
