Overview

In this role you lead the maintenance and engineering function of a high-speed food manufacturing plant. You drive capital projects, implement preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM, and other high-impact strategies to maximize equipment reliability and product flow. You manage the maintenance team, troubleshoot operational issues, and uphold safety, food safety, and environmental standards. You track KPIs and push continuous improvement to elevate efficiency and innovation across the facility. This is a chance to shape state-of-the-art processes and lead engineering initiatives plant-wide.

Responsibilities
  • Lead capital projects from concept to completion with on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Schedule and coordinate project elements to minimize production disruption while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Develop and implement advanced maintenance systems to sustain peak plant performance
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM, and other high-impact strategies for optimal scheduling and minimal downtime
  • Manage maintenance team, delegate tasks, enforce policies, and guide work assignments
  • Provide short- and long-term solutions to operational challenges and equipment failures to ensure smooth daily operation
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure maintenance effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
  • Support and ensure food safety, environmental, and safety standards in all projects and maintenance activities
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management or project leadership
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Change management experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical thinking, and adaptability
  • Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation) and ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM
  • Ability to use exposure monitoring equipment and communicate results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong written and spoken communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
