Overview As a CDB Credit Officer in Commercial Real Estate Banking, you will be the primary credit contact for clients, shaping credit solutions and leading new originations. You will work with relationship managers, risk, and product partners to structure deals and manage risk across a portfolio. Your role drives funded loans and revenue while upholding regulatory and policy standards. You'll mentor teammates and influence deal teams, contributing to Bank of America's mission to support communities and low-to-moderate income housing. Responsibilities- Assess client credit needs with relationship management and product partners to design solutions
- Lead loan structure discussions and negotiate documentation with clients and legal partners
- Drive credit and risk approval processes for new originations, renewals, increases, and modifications
- Monitor a portfolio of clients in compliance with regulations and internal policies
- Grow funded loans and revenue while managing risk and asset quality
- Act as escalation point for complex credit transactions
- Mentor and support associates
- Lead deal team for new originations and structuring of bank debt and equity
- Oversee underwriting of secured and unsecured CRE transactions including construction/debt, tax credit equity, revolvers, bridge financing, and lines
- Manage end-to-end loan and equity originations, including due diligence, approvals, and closing
- Coordinate with legal counsel and closing process; advise post-closing actions as needed
Key requirements- 5+ years in tax credit lending/investing and related financial analysis
- Strong experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management
- Familiarity with core banking products and CRE lending regulations
- Knowledge of tax credit equity investments, debt, and related tax program requirements
