Principal Aerospace Modeling & Simulation Engineer (TS/SCI)

Overview

In this role you will lead the Aerospace Modeling & Simulation (M&S) function, translating mission needs into executable technical strategies and roadmaps. You'll serve as the key bridge between customers, program leadership, and modeling teams to ensure high-quality, standardized, and scalable simulation work. You'll drive cross-team collaboration, risk mitigation, and the adoption of reusable models and tools. This is a mission-driven, on-site leadership position that shapes how we deliver advanced ISR studies for government and commercial customers. You'll work closely with customers and stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic objectives and program goals.

Responsibilities
  • Define the technical vision, modeling strategy, and execution approach for M&S programs
  • Translate mission needs into prioritized work plans with customers and program leadership
  • Maintain technical quality across the M&S team, including models, scenarios, assumptions, and conclusions
  • Establish and enforce modeling standards, verification/validation practices, and documentation
  • Standardize workflows and promote reusable models, data products, and tools
  • Improve team efficiency through automation and better tool integration across HPC/cloud environments
  • Guide work allocation and prioritization based on needs, risk, resources, and objectives
  • Identify cross-project risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Mentor analysts through coaching, reviews, and knowledge sharing
  • Develop roadmaps for future M&S investments in tools, infrastructure, and workforce
  • Represent the M&S organization in customer engagements, reviews, proposals, and planning
Key requirements
  • US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • 15 years of relevant experience
