Overview In this role you will join Mayo Clinic's Dermatology Department in Jacksonville as a Mohs surgery specialist focused on academic surgical dermatology. You will contribute to resident education, clinical and translational research, and complex skin cancer management, including transplant/immunocompromised patients. You will help advance the Mohs program and collaborate across dermatology, pathology, plastic surgery, oncology, and general surgery in a state-of-the-art, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities- Perform Mohs micrographic surgery for complex skin cancers including melanoma in situ
- Provide advanced dermatologic surgical care and technical expertise
- Participate in resident education and training; supervise dermatology residents and fellows
- Engage in clinical, basic, and translational research
- Establish and grow a Mohs fellowship program
- Collaborate with dermatopathology, plastic surgery, otorhinolaryngology, oncology, and general surgery
- Manage complex cases involving transplant and immunocompromised patients
- Contribute to program development and clinical practice improvement
Key requirements- MD/DO with Florida medical license or eligibility
- Completed ACGME-accredited dermatology residency
- Board Certified by American Board of Dermatology
- Completed ACGME Mohs fellowship in Dermatologic Oncology
- Board eligible or board certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery by the American Board of Dermatology
