Overview In this role you partner with leaders and RCA colleagues to oversee and enhance a risk management framework for WCIB, ensuring regulatory compliance across lines of business. You lead projects, drive gap analyses, and escalate risks to minimize losses from weak processes or controls. You will work with cross-functional teams to align with laws and industry trends while shaping effective risk programs. Responsibilities- Oversee creation, implementation, and maintenance of risk management framework
- Lead projects to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Identify gaps and drive solutions to minimize losses from weak processes or controls
- Ensure active risk identification, response, and escalation
- Support WCIB lines including Institutional Client Group, Commercial Real Estate, and Equipment Finance in deposits and lending activities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically 10+ years of applicable experience
- Advanced knowledge of laws, regulations, and regulatory trends impacting the assigned line of business
- Strong leadership and management skills across processes, projects, and people
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
