Overview

In this leadership role, you drive the design, development, and testing of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and components within the F-22 flight test program. You lead multi-functional teams across test, engineering, and operations, ensuring safe, on-time execution and compliant test activities. You shape test plans, coordinate resources, and report program status to senior leadership. This position offers impact on critical defense programs and opportunities to influence flight test readiness, modifications, and mission success.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee design, development, and testing of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts
  • Coordinate recruitment, training, performance, and discipline of staff
  • Manage resources for F-22 flight and ground test missions including personnel and test assets
  • Lead test planning meetings, flight readiness reviews, and execution package reviews
  • Ensure tests meet schedule constraints and program procedures; modify and instrument test aircraft as needed
  • Direct IPT and inter-site coordination; report flight test status and results
  • Provide leadership to a multi-functional team of engineers (14-19) and supervise sub-disciplines
  • Coordinate RCCA investigations and weight/balance and EMC testing activities
  • Ensure test operations comply with safety, airworthiness concepts, and program policies
  • Manage documentation, test execution packages, and test conduct oversight at Edwards AFB or other sites
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field (or equivalent operational flight test experience)
  • Experience with flight test, aircraft maintenance, and air vehicle engineering practices
  • Demonstrated team leadership in a technical environment
  • Active Secret security clearance or higher with ability to obtain SAP access
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams in an aviation operations context
