Overview

In this role you will perform comprehensive credit underwriting and portfolio management for complex entity-level real estate transactions within PNC's Real Estate Banking group. You will apply advanced financial and risk analysis to assess borrower creditworthiness, structure deals, and mitigate risk in line with policy and market standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize risk-adjusted returns and serve as a subject-matter expert for select asset classes. This is a hands-on, in-office position that supports an inclusive, performance-driven culture.

Responsibilities
  • Underwrite complex entity-level real estate transactions and manage assigned portfolios
  • Prepare loan offerings and scorecards, applying financial, collateral, and risk analysis
  • Recommend credit structures, deal sizing, and terms to optimize risk-adjusted returns
  • Perform ongoing credit risk management and monitoring for assigned portfolios
  • Coach or review work of other underwriters and potentially fill in for a manager
  • Interact with internal and external customers to gather information and clarify discrepancies
  • Identify and comply with external regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Make credit decisions or provide recommendations based on findings
  • Serve as SME for certain asset classes and ensure alignment with policy and guidelines
  • Analyze borrower creditworthiness, structure features (covenants, bases, advance rates) and investor eligibility for specialized facilities
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience
  • University degree (Bachelor) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial analysis, and risk assessment
  • Familiarity with IRS Code Section 42 and 47, equity structures, market research, and external guidelines
  • Ability to make informed credit decisions or recommendations under guidance as needed
  • Licenses: none required
