Fleet Exercise Training Analyst

Overview

In this role you will support USFF in Fleet training and readiness analysis, serving as an action officer for N7. You will review training programs, assess plans, and produce clear, executive-ready documents for senior stakeholders. You will lead or contribute to large-scale exercise planning and the exercise lifecycle, shaping naval training outcomes. This is a mission-driven opportunity to advance fleet readiness through expert analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Assist planning, execution, assessment, and oversight of Large Scale Exercises (LSE)
  • Provide SME input on planning issues across the LSE lifecycle
  • Support planning, execution, and assessment tasks for LSE; coordinate responses to tasks
  • Offer recommendations to USFF N7 in forums, meetings, and working groups
  • Understand and support exercise lifecycle events
  • Provide SME during planning, execution, and assessment across topics (e.g., exercise control, OPFOR, manpower)
  • Coordinate and update senior Government officials on day-to-day exercise execution
  • Research and coordinate LSE event hot wash documents, AARs, and post-event analysis
  • Prepare calling, planning, and summary messages for exercise events
Key requirements
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree (unknown field) + Secret clearance
  • Active military duty experience (>15 years) at mid-grade to senior officer level
  • Ten years in naval operations
  • Eight years of general training program analyst experience (12 years in lieu of degree considered)
  • Two years of Naval exercise planning experience (four years preferred)
  • Broad knowledge of DoD/Navy missions and USFF responsibilities
  • Superior writing and verbal communication; ability to work independently with senior personnel
