Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a diverse engineering team focused on wellness product outcomes
- Champion robust design practices ensuring safety, performance, and reliable delivery
- Drive stage-gate development execution to accelerate time-to-market
- Translate complex wellness needs into clear engineering requirements and specs
- Enable data-driven decision making across the development lifecycle
- Oversee lifecycle improvements for performance, reliability, cost, and UX
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Quality, PM) to deliver cohesive solutions
- Support global product launches and lifecycle management across regions
- Communicate technical insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- Travel to engage with suppliers, customers, and global teams
- Lead performance management and development planning for team members
- Define product requirements spanning customer needs, regulatory standards, and engineering performance
- Review/approve key technical deliverables with a focus on functional integrity and user outcomes
- Drive cost optimization while preserving experience and quality
- Ensure post-launch insights inform product evolution
- Stay ahead of wellness trends and competitive innovations
- Act as technical authority for the wellness portfolio
- Enable scalable design strategies for global deployment
- Maintain awareness of emerging wellness trends and recovery science
- Maintain focus on energy, water, and material efficiency without compromising performance
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 7+ years of product design engineering experience
- 3+ years coaching and developing engineering talent
- Proven ability to lead complex product development from concept to launch
