Civil Project Engineer Land Development

Overview

In this role you will manage planning, design, and construction of diverse civil engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. You will oversee activities, coordinate resources, and guide the project team to successful outcomes. You will collaborate across Core States Group to enable growth and project synergies. Responsibilities
  • Prepare construction plans, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and drainage reports with limited supervision
  • Coordinate with reviewing agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permits
  • Create grading plans and road designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform detailed calculations for stormwater facilities, utilities, and roadways
  • Collaborate with drafters, designers, and admins to meet timelines and budgets
  • Develop site development plans for various scales and types of projects
  • Maintain and update project documentation, spreadsheets, and reports
  • Support project administration including billing, contracts, and follow-ups
  • Participate in project meetings and note-taking
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, ability to obtain additional state licenses
  • Five years of civil engineering experience in an engineering or construction firm
  • Five+ years of site development design experience
  • Proven project management and client relationship track record
  • Hands-on leadership experience as a subject matter expert in engineering
