Overview As a Senior Business Development Manager at Booz Allen, you will lead the growth of advanced cyber R&D opportunities with U.S. government sponsors. You'll engage government program managers, Booz Allen leaders, and external partners to identify needs, shape research concepts, and develop compelling pursuit strategies. You'll build and lead cross-organizational teams to translate hard cyber problems into funded programs. This role offers ownership over where the firm competes and how the cyber R&D business scales, with a direct impact on mission-critical cybersecurity work.

Responsibilities- Develop sponsor relationships and a qualified cyber R&D pipeline
- Lead opportunities from early engagement through capture, teaming, and proposal development
- Collaborate with technical leaders to shape credible approaches to complex cyber problems
- Assemble and lead cross-organizational teams around required capabilities
- Assess customer needs, competition, and teaming options to guide investment and pursuit decisions
- Write sponsor briefings, whitepapers, and key proposal content
- Build and lead a small cyber R&D BD team while staying hands-on with work
Key requirements- Experience winning competitive R&D opportunities with advanced U.S. government sponsors (e.g., DARPA) with direct sponsor engagement and proposal development
- Experience building or expanding a federal national security technology or R&D pipeline
- Experience in cybersecurity across AI, software, computing, or cyber-physical systems
- Experience building partnerships and multi-organization teams
- Experience writing sponsor-facing briefings, whitepapers, and proposals
- Experience leading small teams or cross-functional efforts while contributing actively
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, CS, or Information Systems
