Overview As a Real Estate Specialist at Welltower, you will support legal real estate matters across our portfolio and coordinate closings with outside counsel and internal teams. You'll navigate complex transaction structures, manage entity frameworks, and oversee development-related contracts and payments. This role connects the legal function with diverse departments to enable smooth transactions and portfolio growth. You will contribute to Welltower's mission of transformative senior living and healthcare infrastructure by ensuring sound, compliant deals. Responsibilities- Coordinate real estate closings and related activities
- Understand and address issues in complex legal transactions
- Navigate the company's entity management and organizational structures
- Oversee development/construction processes and related contracts, liens, waivers, bonding, and insurance
- Process loan disbursements, prepare payoff statements, and coordinate closings
- Review and process legal and third-party vendor invoices; manage relationships
- Provide support to the legal department as needed
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in any field; paralegal studies preferred
- 2+ years' experience in legal transactions
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and real estate closings (preferred)
- Experience with closings for seniors housing, post-acute, and outpatient properties (preferred)
