Responsibilities- Grow commercial banking revenue in a targeted market by securing middle-market and CRE lending opportunities
- Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing commercial banking team
- Leverage internal referrals and cross-sell across Peoples Bancorp's offerings
- Develop new business leads and networking activities to expand market presence
- Conduct client meetings, speak at events, and engage in professional/charitable organizations
- Advocate the company's competitive advantages to clients and communities
- Present capabilities to meet current and future client needs across commercial banking, premium financing, leasing, insurance, and retirement solutions
- Provide recruiting, training, performance monitoring, and feedback for staff
- Set and achieve departmental goals with timely performance measurement
- Educate staff on regulatory changes and policy updates; lead special projects as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor degree required; Master's degree a plus
- 10+ years of sales experience in commercial banking
- Proven success in prospecting, winning new business, and expanding client relationships
- Working knowledge of credit and delivering broad offerings to high-net-worth clients
- Location familiarity with the Washington DC metro area preferred
- Strong professional network with CFOs/CEOs and centers of influence
- Active involvement in professional or community organizations
