Overview As an IV&V Consultant in Olympia, WA, you will lead verification and validation activities for IT programs supporting a state agency's safety and operations mission. You'll apply PMI PMBOK-driven SDLC practices to assess systems, reports, and vendor work, identifying risks and actionable mitigations. You will collaborate with agency leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery during a multi-year modernization program. Responsibilities- Lead/oversee IV&V activities aligned with OCIO Policy 132 and client requirements
- Review, monitor, and observe product development, implementations, and SLAs
- Develop anomaly reports and periodic oversight assessments with improvement recommendations
- Track responses to recommendations to ensure risk mitigation and completion
- Lead methodology development for manual and automated testing to meet schedule and budget
- Participate in reviews of vendor/client deliverables and assess quality and business value
- Coordinate with project steering committees and stakeholders to address risks and issues
- Provide high-quality written documentation translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Support risk planning and issue management to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Manage project communications and deliverables, documenting accomplishments and milestones
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IV&V processes and oversight activities
Key requirements- 5+ years providing IV&V services on large IT projects
- Proven ability to deliver findings to technical and business stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools
- Knowledge of SDLC and PMBOK practices
- Experience with two or more: requirements facilitation, IT security, legacy and current languages, test management, system architecture, SOA, database development
- PMI-PMP certification preferred
- U.S. Citizenship
- Travel as required to CONUS/OCONUS Olympia, WA
- Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience
